We have been supporting the art scene in the Bergisches Land region in several ways for many years. Our latest commitment offers employees a very special art experience: the "visiodrom" at the Gaskessel in Wuppertal combines a new world of entertainment made up of light, emotions and technology. You can experience the work of the artist Claude Monet emotionally and with all your senses. The long-standing juror of our CoroArt art award and former director of the Von der Heydt Museum sums up the concept: "The communication of art in the visiodrom goes far beyond the explanatory word. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in art and experience it directly. That fascinates me very much."
On a gorgeous July afternoon, around 70 employees from all areas of the Coroplast Group, including their escorts, accepted the invitation to the art spectacle in a class of its own – according to the organizer, Europe's largest 360° canvas. Before the laser show, there was an entertaining introduction about the life and work of the exceptional French impressionist. The exhibition was linked to the show in that individual works from the exhibition were later taken up in the show and expanded by several works from a series. After the multimedia presentation, colleagues took the opportunity for unique views over Wuppertal and the surrounding area on the 65-meter-high roof of the gas boiler.
A very nice evening with an interesting exhibit and a family gathering for a corporate event.
Of course, after so much culture, physical well-being was also taken care of. After the show the illustrious Coroplast society went back down to the ground floor of the Gaskessel. There, an Italian restaurant served all kinds of delicious appetizers, fancy pizzas and refined desserts. The perfect organization and the nice hosts made this evening a big success. Our CEO Natalie Mekelburger also attended the event and used the joint dinner for personal exchanges by stopping by at each table talking to the employees. "A fantastic evening that was well worth it. With the "visiodrom", the exhibition offered an immersive space that allowed the artist's works to be experienced in a whole new way. The nice get-together with colleagues in the cozy atmosphere of the Apostos rounded off the evening perfectly. I am thrilled and will be happy to take part again next time," said Linda Siewert, HR Specialist Learning & Development, enthusiastically.
