In the employee parking lots at the company's headquarters on Wittener Straße, 20 charging stations with a total of 40 charging points are now waiting for plug-in hybrids and all-electric vehicles. A further five charging points have long been available outside the main entrance for registered visitors and company cars.
In the start-up phase, the Coroplast Group is even offering its approximately 1,000 employees at the site free vehicle charging - with 100% green electricity, of course. In this way, the Wuppertal-based family company, whose products such as high-voltage cables and technical adhesive tapes are important components of electric cars, is also making a contribution to the e-mobility of its employees. They can activate the charging stations with their employee ID cards.
The installation of the charging points is the next logical step toward electromobility, after the Coroplast Group had already motivated employees to purchase electric cars and plug-in hybrids some time ago by designing the company car regulations accordingly: With success: 35% of the vehicle fleet can already drive electrically today, soon it will be almost half.
Especially the so-called lantern parkers who don't have a wallbox at home can make good use of a charging option at the workplace. But since the expansion of the public charging infrastructure is not yet progressing fast enough, we want to set a good example with our new charging park for employees and visitors.
